Allez les Bleus... and the 'Männschäft'
Writing les "bleus" really looks weird, doesn't it? Anyway, I guess noone doubts that I support Germany, refered to as "the Männschäft" by foreigners ;-), with all my heart, body and soul. They have to win against Italy tonight, once to revenge Frings (come on, the Argentinian said, he hasn't been hit) and second to break the chain of Germany losing against Italy in the World Cup, their famous 4-3 argument. Jetzt erst recht!!
But I still have to post about the bleus.
They as well have to kick Portugal out!! I always liked France, even if people usually tell me that being half German, half English I should and could not be for the French. Anyway. They played quite bad during the first games, but they really showed what they're about in the France - Brazil game. Brazil had no chance! We were watching the game and couldn't believe how they dominated throughout the whole game! And hey, what a great end it would be for Zidane's career being in the Final!! And of course Portugal kicked out my other favorit team, England!! I have to be for France!!
The perfect Final for me (even if very very West European): Germany - France
By the way, the guy that is going to take my apartment over summer is Brazilian, but spend the last week-end with his girlfriend in Paris - poor guy, being in France when they win against Brazil ;-)
So: 'Allez les bleus' and 'Qui ne saute parle pas français, hey' for France and 'Berlin, Berlin, wir fahren nach Berlin' and 'Wir werden Weltmeister, Weltmeister, Weltmeister sein' for Germany;-)
And promised: After this post I'll stop writing about football (well, maybe one more post after the Final, or maybe two ;-)), no matter whether we win or lose. I'll only write about the beautiful parties in Berlin;-)
